About Hannah
Wife. Mother. Daughter. Co-worker. Fitness-enthusiast.
Hannah was born in Manila, Philippines during the 1980s. She spent much of her childhood sweating outdoor games in a lower middle class subdivision in Cavite. Life turned rather serious when she devoted her teens to devouring textbooks and everything academic while attending high school in a neighborhood co-ed school.
She went to Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines) for college, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Communication degree. Not long after, she pursued PR work in GMA Network, the Philippines' largest media company. During her 5-year tenure, she helped grow the base of the Company's media contacts. This generated higher returns for GMA in terms of media values at lesser costs.
The PR work trained her to write better, and prepared her for inevitable writing jobs in graduate school. She made a career switch and pursued librarianship for masteral in Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), where she wrote a dissertation on the information seeking behavior of Singapore-based Filipino domestic workers, which was subsequently published in a peer-reviewed journal. This jump-started her research career, and led her to apprentice under seasoned scholars and academics.
She finally practiced librarianship 3.5 years from her MS convocation. She was employed as an Information Services Librarian at Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Lien Ying Chow Library, where she promoted library resources through e-modules and curated reads.
Conscious of her lifelong role as a homemaker, she made a commitment to health and wellness through clean eating, lifting weights and flexing muscles with like-minded, fitness-conscious friends. She fills most of her time enjoying her little ones Joash and Jonah with husband Jason.
